SUMMARY:

To help get an understanding of whether or not my project was feasible as well as what steps I would need to take in order to get my data in a useable form, I reached out to researchers who were well situated with the dataset. I asked them questions regarding the potential limitations of the dataset with regards to ethnic background, ML models used on it in the past specifically regarding Cardiovascular Diseases, Limitations of Previous Research, and areas of interests for scientists currently working in the field.

3/9 7:30 PM - Sent out emails to 31 Researchers who had worked on, and written publications regarding the Framingham Heart Study Dataset

3/9 8:06 PM - Received email reply from Sean Coady
“Happy to do so. Below is my schedule for next week. I can speak in the evenings as well.” A meeting was scheduled for 5 PM Friday, March 12th.

3/12 5:00 PM - 21 minute zoom meeting was held.

“Good morning. I am Alvin Ang, a research assistant professor, working with Dr. Rhoda Au.
Thank you for your interest in the Framingham Heart Study. I am happy to help you with your request. I am available on Monday morning from 9 am - 12 noon, Tuesday afternoon from 1 pm - 3 pm and Friday from 9 am - 11 am. Please let me know your availability and I can block off a 1-hour slot for you. In addition, if you can send me any document (not the data) for the Framingham Teaching dataset, could you send them along prior to our meeting?”
